Professional Broadband Services

Cypnet Communications Ltd [Cypnet] is a company registered and operating in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Cypnet was formed in 2005 to provide professional broadband services to the TRNC, Middle East and Asian subcontinent. Cypnet selected OmniGlobe as its WiMax and Satellite system integrator following discussions with its CEO Jason Neale. OmniGlobe provided the MP.11 WiMAX orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system from Proxim and satellite DVB RCS gateway from Telenor. Cypnet installed and trialled the WiMax system in Autumn 2005, after assessing its performance, developing and customization a second WiMax system in Spring 2006. Cypnet will move into commercial operation from Autumn 2006.

Cypnet customer base is targeted towards the SME and Expatriate community with future development planned to provide services to the Turkish Cypriot community.
