David Harper
Since the acquisition of L-TEQ in 2007 by OmniGlobe Networks, David been responsible for both widening the product portfolio as well as increasing the geographic reach of the business, ensuring that the company is well positioned to benefit from the continued growth in VSAT equipment and services in the Europe, Middle East and Africa.
On graduating in electronics from Nottingham University in 1981, David spent sixteen years with the Dutch giant Philips Electronics, where he held a number of technical and commercial roles including the design and development of modules for IBM computers and key account management for Sony. He achieved Chartered Engineer status in 1990. In 1997 he left to run TDK Components' UK sales operation with major sales to GSM manufacturers. In 1999 David joined the organiation now known as OmniGlobe (EMEA) Ltd, directly contributing to increasing the commercial revenues of the company by securing frame contracts with NGOs and NATO Government departments, before being appointed Managing Director in November 2007.
