Judy Harte
Judy Harte joined OmniGlobe in 2009 and brings with her over 25 years of communications satellite industry experience in both engineering and management roles. In the capacity of Satellite Program Director, Judy is responsible for developing and delivering OmniGlobe’s Canadian Ka-band FSS satellite. Judy combines a strong engineering background with a proven history of successful commercial delivery.
Through a variety of payload roles’ including Systems, Engineering and Program Manager Judy has developed her expertise in managing payload teams both at the technical and programmatic level, building on earlier industry experience in specific areas, such as antenna design. During her career Judy has worked in the UK for Astrium and later in Canada for EMS Technologies Space Division and most recently MDA Corporation, among others. Key accomplishments include her roles as Payload Engineering Manager for HotBird1 and Miraxis (a pioneering Ka-band design) and Payload Program Manager for Astra-2B.
Judy has also worked on a range of other programs including the Skynet and Nato spacecrafts, spanning today’s popular X, Ku and Ka frequency bands. In her early career, following completion of her Masters degree in Space Physics at Leicester University, UK, Judy went on to work at Marconi Space Systems (now Astrium) as a payload design engineer. As well as her MSc, Judy holds a BSc in Mathematics, also from Leicester University.
