OmniGlobe Networks wins the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce Accolades 2008 award

OmniGlobe Networks is pleased to announce that it is the proud recipient of the 2008 Accolades award in the “Markets outside Quebec” category. The award is given by the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce, which recognizes business excellence and honours companies that have distinguished themselves in Montreal’s West Island Business Community. The West Island of Montreal is the epicenter of high technology companies, manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies. The winners were revealed during the annual Accolades gala held on June 5th in the presence of more than 350 representatives of the local business community.

Founded in October 2004, the company is no stranger to the Accolades competition. This is the second nomination in two years for OmniGlobe which had already qualified as a finalist in the High Technology and Innovation category in June 2006, and this year was a finalist in both the “High Technology and Innovation” and “Markets outside Quebec” categories.

The “Markets outside Quebec” prize was awarded to OmniGlobe Networks in recognition for its exceptional growth and expanded sales volume over the last twelve months. The company, which now operates in more than 70 countries worldwide, has undergone a rapid international expansion with headquarters in Pointe-Claire as well as a sales and operations office in Ontario and an international satellite communications division in Frimley, United Kingdom. Its markets include North-America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

This is a great accomplishment for OmniGlobe Networks and comes only two months after it was named as one of the “Top 25 Up and Comers” companies in Canada by the 2008 edition of the Branham300 survey. The BRANHAM list is published annually in Backbone Magazine and acknowledges the ranking of the top 300 Canadian Information Technology (IT) companies.
