Nigel Maund
Nigel is responsbible for OmniGlobe's Broadband and Satellite Services, driving the growth of its business in rural and remote areas of Canada as well as globally. He is responsible for delivering best-in-class broadband Internet networks and services to residential subscribers across Canada and globally. During his career, he has been involved with radio, telecom systems, and software operational support systems for Internet and Telecom service providers.
He has held roles in manufacturing, systems engineering, proposal management, product management, and sales and marketing. Nigel's business development roles included opportunities in North America, Caribbean, Latin American, Middle East, and Africa. He has worked for large multinationals, Motorola, and Nortel; as well as fulfilling key roles in successful Startup technology enterprises. At Nortel, Nigel received two President’s Excellence Awards, and managed the definition of numerous complex multi-year contracts, exceeding $30 million US.
Nigel was a key member of Solect Technology Group, a global leader in Internet billing solutions, which became the largest private software company acquisition in Canadian history ($1.1 billion). Most recently, he acted as a technology and business consultant to senior managers in start-up enterprises for Telecom Wireless and Broadband Access solutions.
