Northern Canada
A sparsely populated area with limited telecommunications infrastructure has opened the window for OmniGlobe Networks (OGN) to provide and install the latest in Wireless Internet Broadband. In 2006 OGN won a project to support towns and villages in Northern Canada with satellite-wireless broadband Internet, opening up new opportunities and supplying a base for future development. This project has allowed indigenous communities to benefit from the latest technology in internet services and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), providing economic and social growth.
Another project is underway to provide remote communities provinde-wide, enabling these communities to breach the “digital divide”. These projects will assure OmniGlobe’s role as a leader in partnering and delivering sustainable technology solutions in support of the First Nations capacity building efforts across Canada.
