OmniGlobe Networks (OGN) is a leading provider of Internet access via DVB-RCS satellite technology. In particular, OGN is considered a pioneer in successfully delivering WiMax and pre-WiMax wireless access solutions inter-working with DVB-RCS in a hybrid satellite-wireless network infrastructure. Such a combination of technologies enables the delivery of broadband Internet access to subscribers in remote regions, where traditional wired broadband infrastructure is not established. To date, OGN has delivered such hybrid broadband access solutions commercially in six countries. We are focused on delivering high-quality least-cost solutions for the introduction of advanced Internet applications for subscribers.

Our Internet and Satellite gateway provides the bandwidth capabilities for our customers, linked via satellite to our end user satellite terminal. The bandwidth is delivered from there to an OmniCell that encompass a Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Management software (MAN) and Performance Enhancement Protocol software (PEP). Each customer benefits from the latest technology in Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) that are installed and supported in individual homes. Figure 2 below shows a CPE offering robust and affordable wireless point-to-multipoint connectivity ideal for metropolitan area networks, campus networking and last mile access. All of our networks are managed from our operational centre in Montreal Canada, using our own state of the art Global Management software (GMAN) on a 24/7 basis.
